Gameplay and narrative

Haven’t you had this feeling when playing cRPG (for instance “Bioware” cRPG’s) that whatever happens in the game it bores you? I mean when you’re hack’n slashing through dungeons it’s redundant. But when you’re listening to an uninspiring script scene that explains plot, you wish you were back in the dungeon. I so know this feeling. Have you had it?

    No youre just too pumped up by the killing to enjoy the maybe very interesting dialog

    I feel like this all the time when playing RPGs. Very few RPGs progress in a way that is constantly entertaining. First you fight too many battles, then you are forced to complete too many fetch quests. :(
