What is EpicTail?

It’s a webcomic that stands out because of two things. Firstly, this sarcastic, sometimes absurd, sometimes very conventional webcomic about fantasy and sci-fi differentiates from all other sarcastic, sometimes absurd, sometimes very conventional webcomics about fantasy and sci-fi in the internet with the fact that we make fun about lizardmen a little more frequently. Secondly, the authors of this webcomic are not from a normal land, but from a very distant and unimportant country in Eastern Europe - Latveria.

Latveria? Wait that’s doctor Doom’s country!

Oh, all right then. It’s not called Latveria. It’s actually Latvia, but I thought what’s the point mentioning here a country which has a name that won’t ring a bell to an average internet user. So let’s pretend that we’re from Latveria - a desolate country where webcomic genre is almost absent and unknown, ruled by random corrupt politicians and of course Doctor Doom!

What’s with the lizardmen hate?

Oh, that’s a long story to tell. We here don’t really hate lizardmen, because that would mean that we appreciate them as beings. Nope, we’ve got nothing personal against them. We have a completely objective and impersonal disgust against this pitiful fantasy race. So we’ve got a little cult thing going here - how to insult these creatures in many new ways, still remaining very calm and showing no passion about this hobby.

Maybe you hate dragons too?

No! Dragons are great. How dare you imply that there’s some connection between a mighty dragon and a lowly lizardman!

Enough of this rant. What are the webcomics about?

Well, the usual stuff - video games, pen and paper RPGs, movies, fantasy, sci-fi literature, office life and any other random idea that jumps into mind. There is no continuation in these comics except for some short series of strips.

How often do you update?

Five times a week! On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays we will offer a new comic. Whilst on Tuesdays and Thursdays there’s going to be poll RPG.

Poll RPG? What’s that?

It’s a role playing game, in which a story is narrated and at the end of each passage a choice is given to the readers to vote what happens next. Or to be more exact, what choices the protagonist makes. More information about poll RPG can be read in the poll RPG section.

Some of themes of your comics are somewhat outdated. Does it takes so much time for games and movies to arrive at Latveria or whatever was the real name of your country?

Nope, actually Epictail is an international remake of our older local project named Superfantasy. There we’ve got quite a collection of older comics of which we are very fond of, therefore from time to time, there might appear something let’s call it “retrospective”.

Do you have any favorite webcomics?

Well, I would like to mention just two - the famous Penny Arcade which need to introduction and an Australian rogue comic site - Eegra. However there are more, but let’s not make a list here.
